Our Inheritance, Rosie Laszlo's next exhibition will present oil and multi-media paintings on canvas and wood. They are inspired by Freedom and Love which are man's spiritual inheritance.
Some of the material used for these paintings are centuries old hand-woven hemp bed sheets from France. Worn and torn, they've been repaired again and again. These beautiful traces of patience and care for the inherited material are now embedded in layers of clay, oil, wax and pigments, showing the inheritance we all received from God: matter, spirit and creative power.
You are welcome to discover Our Inheritance from the 3rd of March to the 15th of April 2012 and meet Rosie at the opening on Saturday 3rd of March from 5 to 7 PM at The Bold Café Gallery, 146 Duke Street, Castlemaine, Victoria.
